1. Introduction to Cyber Threats
Cyber security means protecting your digital devices and data from hackers. Today in the digital age, our bank and personal data are all online, so it is very important to stay cyber aware so we don't fall victim to any cyber attack.
2. Protection from Phishing and Scams
Hackers often send fake emails or SMS in the name of a bank, which is called Phishing. Do not click on any unknown link and never share OTP with anyone. Always carefully check the sender's email address.
3. Password and Authentication
A strong password should be at least 8 characters long containing capital letters, numbers, and symbols (@,#). Always keep Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on for all your accounts, which provides extra security.
4. Public Wi-Fi and Safe Browsing
Free public Wi-Fi at a railway station or cafe is not secure at all. Never do banking or payments on it. Always use websites that have 'HTTPS' and a lock symbol in front of them.
5. Device Security and Updates
Always keep the operating system (OS) and apps of your mobile and laptop updated. Updates contain security patches that stop new viruses. Always use a trusted antivirus.
